When customers tell me they have a leak in their roof over the kitchen or in one of the bathrooms 9 times out of 10 it is the rubber boot that goes around the exhaust pipe that goes up through the roof. The rubber boot covers a hole in your roof. That hole is for the white PVC pipe coming through. It allows the house to settle and not break the pipe. We inspect the rubber boots on every job and can replace them if needed. The most important part of any structure is the roof. Any leaks need to be addressed immediately or they will only cause further damage to the walls and the foundation.
